Client Prevails Before the Iowa Court of Appeals

October 29, 2025

On October 29, 2025, the remaining charges in the matter of the State of Iowa v. Arkfeld went before the Iowa Court of Appeals.  In a 26-page decision, the Court, largely based on testimony from GLFE’s Dan Billington, reversed and remanded the original guilty verdict on the remaining charges from the March 8, 2024, trial, thus finding the State of Iowa erred in pursuing the original charges and that the jury had improperly entered into a finding of guilt.

The published decision can be found here: Iowa Court of Appeals Opinion No. 24-0742
