Utilizing simulation software is a valuable tool when reconstructing collisions. With 3D modeling techniques, we are able to perform a predictive analysis of the physics applications demonstrated during a collision. This data allows us to evaluate the forces and resulting movements of the vehicles, occupants, and pedestrians after impact. This process helps to evaluate the vehicle dynamics and kinematics involved, as well as identifying the potential causes. Simulation can also highlight the mitigation efforts necessary to prevent future occurrences.
Allowing the creation of visual representations of the incident scene and environment.
These models enables a comprehensive look at various factors which may not be readily apparent during a site inspection.
Reconstructing the sequence of events which lead to a collision.
This analysis focuses on the motion of objects and their trajectories to determine pre-impact positions and speeds.
Recreating roadway conditions.
We can create realistic road environments, including road geometry, traffic signs, weather conditions, foliage, structures, and lighting.
Incorporating a range of vehicle statistics
The software at our disposal can import data from various sources including accident reports, scan data, event data recorders (EDR’s), vehicle specifications, and vehicle safety data.
